Kishtwar Saffron:

The Kishtwar region of Jammu & Kashmir, nestled in the western Himalayas, is one of the rarest saffron-growing zones in the world.

Here, glacial waters, high-altitude air, and mineral-rich soils combine to produce saffron with exceptional strength in crocin (color), safranal (aroma), and picrocrocin (flavor).

Unlike commercial farms, cultivation here is done in small family-owned plots with immense care and no chemical interference.

Traditional Farming. Modern Responsibility.

Saffron cultivation in Kishtwar is a labor-intensive, low-impact process. With only one harvest per year, the land is never overused, and farmers apply organic and natural techniques passed down through generation.

Samridh Driti supports this by:

Offering upfront investment and farm logistics

Promoting zero-chemical, zero-pesticide growing

Ensuring soil health and biodiversity preservation

Better Than Global Counterparts

Independent testing confirms that saffron from Kishtwar, sourced by Samridh Driti, exceeds international quality benchmarks—including those set by Iran, Spain, Turkey, and Pulwama (Kashmir). Verified by French quality labs, our saffron shows superior strength, purity, and stability across key markers like crocin, safranal, and picrocrocin.
